Vinesh’s recent social media post sparked speculations of her return. In her social media post, Vinesh wrote, "I know you're tired today. I know you're like a wounded bird today. But courage still lives within you. You’re still alive to fulfil your dreams." Along with this, Vinesh shared a picture from the Olympics, where she is seen jumping with joy.
Many speculated that Vinesh is returning to the wrestling fraternity.
The past few months have been filled with ups and downs for the Indian wrestler. From being the first female wrestler to the Olympic final to being "disqualified". Soon after, she retired from wrestling. In an emotional message, she wrote, "I have learned a lot from the battle of life. My mother's hard work and fighting spirit have shaped me into the Vinesh I am today. She taught me how to claim what’s mine. Whenever I think of courage, I think of her. That thought helps me in every fight.”
However, the fight did not end there. Vinesh contested in the Haryana Assembly elections from the Julana constituency on behalf of the Congress. She defeated BJP's Yogesh Kumar by 6,015 votes to become an MLA. Will she now continue both wrestling and politics? Only time will tell.
