Vinicius Jr. Vows To Continue His Anti-racism Efforts

Real Madrid teammates expressed their disappointment over the "football politics" following Vinícius Júnior's second-place finish in the Ballon d'Or race, uniting fiercely in support of him.

Vinícius Jr., Real Madrid’s forward, vowed to continue his fight against racism unwaveringly, even if it might jeopardize his chances for the Ballon d'Or. 

Vinicius tweeted, “I'll do it 10x if I have to. They're not ready”.

While talking to Reuter, forward’s management stated,  "The football world is not ready to accept a player who fights against the system.”, further confirming the suspension of the tweet related to his anti-racism efforts. 

Real Madrid teammates expressed their profound disappointment over the "football politics" that led to Vinícius Júnior's second-place finish in the Ballon d'Or race. They are uniting fiercely in support of him and condemning the injustice of the situation.

Eduardo Camavinga, a Madrid midfielder, posted on saying, "FOOTBALL POLITICS X. My brother, you are the best player in the world and no award can say otherwise. Love you my bro,”

Vinícius Jr., along with Real Madrid nominees Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé, Dani Carvajal, and club president Florentino Pérez, opted to skip the 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony in Paris on October 28. After they anticipated Vini’s defeat in the race. 

The Manchester City and Spain midfielder Rodri was announced the winner of the Ballon d'Or. The midfielder dedicated the award to Spanish soccer and put emphasis on the significant role of midfielder in his winning speech. 

He stated, “This is a win for players who never got recognition,”. 

France Football, the organisation responsible for the Ballon d'Or, has not yet issued a comment on the situation. The award is decided by a panel of journalists from the top 100 FIFA-ranked nations.
