Bino George has plans to get his under-21 footballers motivated before the Youth derby clash against arch-rivals Mohun Bagan, scheduled to be held on 23rd March at Naihati Stadium. An under-21 Youth Football League, comprising more than 50 teams is going start throughout the country where seven teams in east zone qualifiers will be vying for the qualification for the main round. Five club teams from Bengal including East Bengal, Mohun Bagan, Mohammedan Sporting, and United Sports as well as one team each from Orissa and Jharkhand have been shortlisted in the east zone qualifiers. 

Bino who has already been looking after East Bengal's senior reserve team lamented saying, "We finished trials to build up this youth team only two days ago. Now we have only three days left to start our journey in the youth league. Still, I am hopeful that the boys will fight." 

Bino commenting on the derby clash added, "I am trying to motivate the boys so that they can feel the excitement of playing against arch-rivals Mohun Bagan. I also have plans to make a request to Vijayan to say some encouraging words through video call before the match." 

Following Bino's initiative the club has signed five potential boys from Kerala, three from Manipur, and a few more players from North Bengal. The coach said he is optimistic about the five players, who joined from Kerala. Especially, Bino mentioned Raseek's name saying, "He is highly potential. He has the talent to break into the senior team within a couple of years. Let us hope for the best now." 

However, the top 20 teams from the qualifiers across the country will move to the national championship and the top four teams in the final competition will have the opportunity to play in an annual Premier League later this year named Next Generation Cup where selected Premier League clubs and South African PSL youth teams are scheduled to take part also.
