Virat Kohli wants the impact player rule to be reviewed

BCCI secretary Jay Shah has promised to review of rule and said this is not permanent. Rather this is a test case.

While the ongoing season of IPL is coming to an end, India’s cricket icon Virat Kohli criticized the ‘impact player’ rule. Echoing India captain Rohit Sharma, Kohli also stated, “I am not its big fan. It is going to hold back all-rounders. Cricket is played by 11, not 12 (players).” He added, asserting that “it has disrupted the balance of the game". The former Indian skipper wants the rule to be reviewed. “I agree with Rohit. Entertainment is one aspect of the game but there is no balance,” Kohli said on Jio Cinema.
Earlier Indian captain Rohit Sharma also opposed this rule. “It is like that where every bowler comes to bowl to concede a four or a six!” stated Rohit. However, BCCI secretary Jay Shah has promised to review of rule and said this is not permanent. Rather this is a test case.
Meanwhile, before the high voltage match today on Saturday at Chinnaswami Stadium, Kohli also added his emotion on Dhoni, adding “Maybe it is the last time we are playing together on the field, but against each other." The 2019 World Cup semifinal against New Zealand was the last time when they both play together.
