Star Indian batter Virat Kohli accepted the best fielder of the match award as the Indian dressing room routine continued even after India lost the World Cup 2023 final to Australia in Ahmadabad. "From our first medal ceremony to the last - thank you to all the fans who've given us a lot of love for it. Yesterday, we kept our spirits high in the dressing room and presented the best fielder award for one final time," BCCI tweeted.

Travis Head's remarkable century, a powerful 137 off 120 balls, steered Australia to a commanding six-wicket victory over a formidable Indian team, who had posted a modest 240 all out.

India's strategy, led by aggressive batting from Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli's stabilizing presence, was met with Australia's impeccable bowling and sharp fielding, proving decisive in crucial moments. 

Head's stunning catch to dismiss Sharma and Kohli's departure after a fluent 54 were pivotal moments. Despite KL Rahul's resilient 66, Australia's bowlers contained India within 50 overs.
