Patil said she wants to become like Kohli
Bangalore born right-arm off -spinner, Shreyanka Patil created waves as the first player to represent India in the Women's Carribian Premier League(WCPL). In the recently concluded second edition of the WCPL she took nine wickets in five matches and goes on to become the highest wicket-taker.
In an interview with The Times of India she shared the fact that Virat Kohli had been her inspiration throughout her cricket-life and is the main reason she got into cricket.
Shreyanka admires that he has a special vibe in all aspects of life and not just cricket. She is also a fan of the agression that he portrays in the field. "Virat Kohli has inspired me in many ways, be it in cricket and off the field" she said.
Patil said that Siraj was helped by Kohli and she just like him wants to help another young girl who would pick up the sport.
She believes in his strong will and said that even though he had a few stitches on his hand he made sure to finish the match. This 'never give up' attitude of Kohli had helped and inspired her a lot.
