A scuffle has reportedly broken out between the protesting wrestlers and the Delhi Police at the Jantar Mantar on Wednesday midnight. The violence left Vinesh Phogat, Bajrang Punia, and Dushyant Phogat injured.  
Police personnel was alleged of mishandling the protesters. One of the police personnel was accused of being drunk and using abusive language at a female protester. A scuffle broke out when APP leader and MLA Somnath Bharti brought some beds at the protesting site for the wrestlers which the police didn’t allow. This led to an altercation. It is reported that the police started hitting the wrestlers which led to a knee and shoulder injury to Vinesh and Bajrang. Geeta and Bobbita Phogat’s brother Dushyant was transferred to the hospital following a head injury.
It is learned that Geeta was not allowed to meet her brother, by the police, while she was traveling by her car to the hospital. In an Instagram report, Geeta said, “Police misbehaved with me and my car was stopped unnecessarily.” She added, “The police told in spite we have made our country proud, I will not be allowed to meet my brother instead I have to go to the police station.” The video revealed that Geeta was escorted to the police station accompanied by some police personnel in her car so that she cannot reach the hospital. 
After the incident, Bajrang Punia said, “If we are treated like this then what is the use of the medals?” He added that they are thinking of living an ordinary life and returning the medals to the Government. The protest of the wrestlers has stepped on the 11th day but the Government yet hasn’t shown any reaction.
