Young Defender Bijay Chhetri Poised for Potential Debut in Uruguay!

Previously, his brother Ajay Chhetri also carved his path in Indian football, with East Bengal FC in the ISL last season.

22-year-old Indian defender Bijay Chhetri could be making history tomorrow as he stands on the cusp of a potential starting role for Uruguayan Segunda(second) División club Colón.  Bijay, young manipuri centre back, on loan from Indian Super League side Chennaiyin FC, transfer to Colón for this season, is a product of the Shillong Lajong youth academy. 

He holds the distinction of being the first Indian footballer to play in a professional Latin American league.  Previously, his brother Ajay Chhetri also carved his path in Indian football, with East Bengal FC in the ISL last season.
