The successful baton is now transferred to its new successor Bengal’s Yudhajit Guha after Ashok Dinda, Akash Deep. The Bengal boy called up for the U-19 Cricket ODI series against Australia. The U-19 will play three ODIs against Australia in Puducherry in September.
Yudhajit is a designated fast pace baller. The team will be led by Uttar Pradesh's promising cricketer Mohd Amaan.

When talking to ABP Ananda website, Yudhajit disclosed his father’s passion for cricket made him pursue cricket altogether. He stated - “Dad wanted me to be a cricketer. I used to play in the field in front of my father. Love for cricket was created from then.'
Yudhajit further disclosed his journey toward the world of cricket, his achievements and memorable moments in cricket - “From the U-13-U-14 section, I used to go to practice with Devesh Chakraborty in Naihati three to four days a week. Also practiced with Satinder Singh in Salt Lake. Later I practiced with Sanjeev Sanyal in Howrah.”
When asked about his talent for pace bowling he modestly replied - “The cricket journey was not easy. There were many obstacles. All odds have to be overcome. But I had a dream since childhood, to be a fast bowler”
The young pace bowler also shared his admiration for his favourite bowler Dale Steyn - “If I meet him one day, I would like to know how he bowled at a speed of over 140 km per hour with such perfect line-length and swing. Some of the pacers have a pace, some have a swing. Some have both, but can't keep the ball in place. Dale Steyn could do all three and do it brilliantly.”
After a long time, India will see another Bengal cricketer start his journey to international cricket.
