India will start their ODI World Cup campaign soon where they will take on Australia at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Former Indian fast bowler, Zaheer Khan in an interview with India Today said that he wants Mohammed Shami, Mohammed Siraj, and Jasprit Bumrah to play together in the Indian line-up as it will be an agressive combination which is essential for India. 

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India has not chosen this combination and has rather added more batting depth to their squad. Usually the combination of the team include two pacers and all-rounders like Shardul Thakur and Hardik Pandya as two additional pacers.

Zaheer said that Shami, Bumrah, and Siraj are going to form a very formidable attack which is necessary when wickets needed to be taken to set the tone. He further said, "I think if you want to be aggressive as a tactical move, then this attack should be there".

He wants India to be more flexible with its lineups and decide according to the opponents and other conditions as the tournament progresses. He stressed that India should have three spinners - R Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja for the upcoming match against the Aussies.

Zaheer is significantly impressed with Mohammad Siraj who he believes has utilised his opportunities well alongside working hard. "Bumrah has not been around for a while, so yeah, he has taken the opportunity with both hands and it's great to see. He has produced a lot of good performances and just he's getting better and better," Zaheer said.
